This is definitely one of the most fun events of the year! On Saturday, January 30 at Palo Alto High School's Auditorium, Palo Alto High School Key Club of Division 34S presents the 6th Annual Mr. Key Club Pageant! One manly and courageous Key Clubber from each D34S club will compete for the position of MR. KEY CLUB. Contestants will perform in the following: - Swimsuit Modeling - Formal Wear Modeling - Key Club Spirit Wear Modeling - Talent Competition - Key Club Trivia Competition - Contestant Q & A - And much more :) Admission: $3 Food: $5 for "Meal Deal" - two slices of pizza, salad, and water. ($2 per pizza slice, $1 for salad, $1 for water, $1 for cookie or $3 for 2) Proceeds will support the Red Cross's emergency relief and recovery efforts to help the people affected by the recent earthquake in Haiti. Hey Key Clubbers! Do you like singing and doing community service at the same time? Do you want to help fight off hunger and be apart of the district project: Combat poverty? You should attend the December DCM - Caroling for Cans! What? December DCM - Caroling for Cans! Where? Homestead High School (21370 Homestead Road, Cupertino, CA 95014). When? Saturday, December 5, 2009: 2 pm to 5 pm Why? You should attend this event so that you can hear what is happening in the division and so that you can help combat poverty! We will be going around the Homestead neighborhood singing Christmas carols to collect cans for the Second Harvest Food Bank! October DCM 10/14/2009
October 17th, 2:00 - 4:30 PM at Rainbow Park, across from Lynbrook High School (1280 Johnson Ave. San Jose) Every month, a school hosts a DCM. DCM stands for Divisional Council Meeting, and don't worry is way more than it sounds. Basically, all the Key clubs in our division, D34 South, meet up and discuss things and do bonding activities. This month we are focusing on getting prepared for FRN (Fall Rally North). Thundersticks will be sold for $3, purple ties for $5, and purple bandanas for $3 as well. On Oct. 17 and 18, the City of Cupertino' Office of Emergency services is holding a drill in Cupertino that will activate city volunteers to mimic citywide emergency assessment. They are asking for volunteers to help to staff as check-in, help desk, and mapping staff. There are 4 SHIFTS: Sat. Oct. 17: 10am to 2pm; and 1pm to 5pm Sun. Oct. 18: 12pm to 3:30pm and 3pm to 6:30pm There are 6 different locations for this drill. The six locations are 1) Monta Vista Fire Station 2) Seven Springs Club house 3) Garden Gate Elementary 4) Lawson Middle School 5) De Anza College 6) Hyde Middle School. Governors from each key club district in Northern California will be auctioned off to different divisions. It's a chance to BUY our OWN Lt. Governor (Patrick Lin) and to raise money.
